The famous altarpiece by the Van Eyck brothers, «The Adoration of the Mystic Lamb,» was displayed in the Saint-Bavon Cathedral during its renovation; however, the exhibition of the altarpiece was not ideal for properly appreciating it.

The objective of this project was to design an exhibition and restoration space dedicated to the altarpiece. A notion of infinity links the spatial continuity between each panel, and a notion of fractal emerges in the perception of details: the closer one gets, the more new elements are distinguished.

The idea is to play with a pure form at different scales to create a dimensional shift, to amplify space and move towards an infinite space, reminiscent of fractal geometry.
