Wimereux is a highly attractive seaside resort on the Opal Coast. Its constantly changing sky and choppy waves give a powerful atmosphere to the site, where there is a marked contrast between violent nature and delicate, light vegetation.
The southern part of Wimereux opens onto a large plain, where its boundary is threatened by expanding suburban development. To preserve the beauty of the area, the project establishes itself as a blurred boundary, marking the end of the seaside resort and creating a transition with this natural territory.
The idea is to explore another way of living, inspired by cooperatives in Zurich; here, two families live together, each with their own private spaces and a large communal area conducive to a communal lifestyle. An exhibition space crowns the tallest tower, allowing the residents to exhibit their works and create events with the neighborhood and the city.
