The project is located in the northern part of Hostalric Castle. Its ambition is to connect the old historic town with the castle enclosure by proposing a route aimed at revitalizing the moat and providing a response to the collapse of part of the existing wall.

The intervention proposes a re-materialization of the pre-existing wall, suggested by the installation of a rhythm of steel porticos supporting a thin roof, accompanied by delicate ground work.

The structure welcomes visitors at the foot of the wall and then accompanies them in their ascent. On the other side, a covered space, suitable for cultural events, is provided, where the porticos support the base of the wall.

The pathway, materialized by stabilized ground, echoes the ground present in the southern part of the castle and allows for clear walking to the main enclosure of Hostalric Castle. The dialogue formed by the different materials (steel, concrete, existing stone, stabilized ground, etc.) enables a homogeneous reading of the intervention at the site scale.
