Frugal Camping
Un Jardin Habité dans une boucle de la Somme - Curlu & Frise - France

Study Year 2019 - 2020 / Master 1
End-of-Year Architecture Project
Duration: 4 months
Studio: BLEW

The intention of the project is to reestablish the dialogue of yesteryears between Curlu and Frise by the river to restore balance. The third place serves as a bridge between these two villages, connected by two campsites. One already existing, that of La Grenouillère in Frise, and the other which is in the center of Curlu, which remains to be imagined.

The idea of the project is to create a versatile structure that can be used by travelers and residents of Curlu. It is a wooden structure that is divided into a serving part facing the village where the functions are clear, and a served part that opens onto the landscape, organized by furniture and adaptable according to needs.

The project would ensure the continued public interaction between the village and the river, as the campsite operates only in the summer, and during the rest of the year, it becomes a garden with a room for the village residents.
