Here is a collection of various projects that are important to me

The LOCI Garden
Faculté LOCI Tournai - Bélgique

Before becoming the beautiful garden it is today, our schoolyard was just a passageway where the grass was regularly mowed and there were no amenities. With the invaluable help of Frédéric Delesalle, a landscape architect and photographer, we organized a student workshop to transform this space and give it new life. Over the weeks, we designed the various subspaces we wanted, then planted 100 willow shoots to bring the garden to life. Mounds of earth and stones were scattered to add relief. The goal was to give nature the space to claim the area, so we allowed the garden to develop spontaneously.

Construction of a Bicycle Shelter
Faculté LOCI Tournai - Bélgique

Academic Year 2020 - 2021 / Master 2

Course: 1:1 Scale Workshop

Teachers: Franck Miner, Mathieu De Paepe, Elie Pauporté

Duration: 4 months

As part of the 1:1 scale workshop, the administration entrusted us with the mission of designing and constructing a bicycle shelter in our school, without a specific location being defined initially. This complex project unfolded in several distinct phases.

Firstly, we embarked on the design phase, during which we had to propose various project ideas and justify their locations. After collectively making a choice, we refined the proposal to achieve a result feasible within the allotted time. Models proved invaluable for testing our hypotheses, visualizing the construction process, and anticipating potential issues. In addition to the design itself, we also had to consider the budget, the quantity of materials required, and the companies we needed to contact.

Next, there was the construction phase, with part of it taking place in the workshop where we built the wooden structures and added the metal fixings. The other part occurred on-site, where we leveled the ground and laid the foundations. Once these were solid, we began assembling the project on-site, finishing by tensioning the entire structure using metal cables to make the bicycle shelter functional.

Art & Research Internship at Lemps

Drawing - Photography - Construction Site
Drôme Provençale - France

Lemps is a village in the Drôme Provençale, steeped in the tradition of Saint Luc since the 1960s. Today, it is managed by the nonprofit organization Art et Recherche, led by P. Accarain & E. Van Overstreaten, which offers graphic expression workshops every summer vacation. Participants draw inspiration from the beauty of the surroundings to develop their imaginations.

My first experience in Lemps was during a photography workshop at the end of my first year, where the goal was to understand the physical aspects of photography and learn how to use a reflex camera in manual mode. The following year, I participated in a workshop that involved both construction work and collage, aiming to familiarize myself with this technique, which was once widely used by architects. It was an opportunity to explore this method and try out a new means of expression.
